About Extenda

The Extenda programme has been developed by the University of Auckland’s Centre for Software Innovation (CSI) in partnership with UniServices and The University of Auckland Business School to provide you with the understanding and tools you need to better match product developments to market drivers.  Through Extenda, you will be given the opportunity to improve your research capabilities, research planning methodologies and enhance your products.

The improvement in innovation and quality will make you better placed to compete nationally and internationally.

The criteria for the types of the companies we are looking for and the commitment from them is given below.

Criteria

• NZ SME with strong software focus (product, service, SaaS, or combination of)
• Stable / regular revenue
• Turnover $1-10 million
• Growth aspirations
• Strong IT focus

 The technology roadmap could be on a new or existing product / service or software that has lots of possible applications and they don’t know where to go.

The requirements from the company are:

On average 3 hours per week. There is a workshop at the start that companies need to attend which lasts 2-3 hours. Every fortnight there is a workshop to attend for 2-3 hours and then homework and prep on top of this.

• Management
