We are honoured to have Sir Kenneth Stevens KNZM, Chairman / Managing Director of Glidepath as our main speaker. He will share some of his experiences in overcoming the challenges of growing a hi-tech company in New Zealand and international markets.

Sir Ken is an engineer, an exporter and a family man.

Ken's company Glidepath designs, manufactures and installs Baggage Handling & Security Systems for airports. Glidepath can count 500 projects in 61 countries in over 35 years of exporting. Glidepath has 8 offshore facilities: Africa, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, India, Peru, and USA.


Since 1996, Ken & Glidepath have won 14 business awards for exporting & technology achievement.

In 2007 Ken lead a government mandated initiative entitled "Export Year 2007" where he partnered with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise resulting in significant export growth and a very effective partnership with government.


Ken joined the Export Institute of New Zealand in 1979 (now Export New Zealand), and is now its Chair. Additionally, he holds board positions with the Asia:NZ Foundation and The Icehouse the University of Auckland's growth business growth centre.

He is an associate of the American Association of Airport Executives, a World Business Partner of Airports Council International, an Inducted Member of Waitakere City's "Business Hall of Fame" and a member of the NZ Institute of Directors. In celebration of the 2007 New Years Honours, Queen Elizabeth II recognised Ken with the 'Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit' in recognition of his services to exporting. This award was upgraded to a Knighthood at a ceremony in Wellington on 14th August 2009.

Sir Ken is married to Glenice and has 2 children, 3 grandchildren and spends 100+ days a year in his markets and has logged over 4 million air miles.

Prepaid Event Attendance

Instead of paying $15 for each event, all financial members can pay $100 for one person to attend one event a month for the following 12 months.  This is transferable to another person from the same member company.
