With this understanding, we will be able to better advise on roles and practices that best suit New Zealand industry. Information about the study can be found at http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~ewan/sppi/. If you are a software organisation and would like to participate, please contact Dr. Diana Kirk at dkir006@aucklanduni.ac.nz. You will be asked to complete an on-line questionnaire where you will be asked some general questions about your organisation. You will also be asked to forward the email to employees involved in software-related activities and encourage them to complete an on-line questionnaire about the software practices implemented in your organisation. The employee questionnaire will take approximately 15-20 minutes. For ethics approval, we are required to ask for assurance that an employee's decision regarding participation will not affect the status of the employee in any way, as noted on the Consent Form. On completion of the research we will provide all participating oganisations with a report giving an overview of the development practices carried out in NZ software organisations. Your participation and feedback would be of great value in helping us identify more effective ways of developing computer software.
